What candy may come

David,
We thought we would make you “snicker” by saying, “Hey, ‘sugar daddy’ ‘take 5′ to go ‘skor’ and get some ‘hugs’ & ‘kisses!’” =)
- Your Friends

That’s the message that was scrawled on the SpongeBob card that accompanied the bag of candy hanging from my door handle. Some one left it there around 10:30 this evening (being Friday, despite the actuality of it being Saturday morning). Someone placed it there, rang my doorbell and fled the scene.

The note was obviously written by the hand of a female, and the plural pronouns give away the fact that there were two or more people involved. I tend to think that it was done by a group here at Carriage Cove, most likely within my Ward, but the reality is it could have been any number of people. Thanks to my candid nature on Facebook just about anyone who knows my name can figure out where I live.

The most interesting thing is what this little note reveals about me. Does this group of people know that I’m going to be working long hours the next few days to get this shirt order out on time? Has my workaholic tendency when moving to a new place shown through enough for these people to encourage me to get out and try and get some action? Behind these playful words is there a girl volunteering to fill the role, or a few guys cheering me on?

Whoever it was and for whatever reason, I’ve got candy and that’s what’s important.

And to whoever brought me this candy on this Friday night that I’ve shared with my printer and a few dozen t-shirts … if you’re reading this …
Peanut Butter Kisses = good
Caramel Kisses = better

Oh, and I’m hoping that some sort of hint will be dropped sometime this week too.
