06.01.06Working heart
The last few days I’ve been working at the American Heart Association in Palm Desert.
The work isn’t interesting, or “right up my alley” or anything, but you know what? I kind of like it.
First of all, it’s good to be working again after having a week and a half off. There was so little for me to do. I had too much time to sit and think about Jessica. I was so unproductive. Now I’m up at 7:30 and pretty much busy until 5. Then there’s still time for some clean up around the house, practicing the guitar, and maybe even some hanging out (if anything’s going on).
Second of all, that office really seems to appreciate me. It’s weird because I’m not doing anything all that important for them. I’m just processing mail and entering data into the computer. They really make me feel worth-while though. It’s a few women, so maybe they’re just better about that then men are, but it’s kinda nice.
Despite that, I can’t wait for a) the weekend, and b) the next assignment to come through. I’m really looking forward to getting back to computer work and getting paid more. I really (and I mean really) hope I get it. It’ll be nice to start putting money back into the savings account again.
