01.30.06One more feature in place
Here at OutsiderIn we’re constantly making improvements. We never even know what’s going to come next. We just get some crazy idea in out head and go for it.
We’ve been working on cell phone blogging for a little while now, and I think we’ve got it down. First it was simply posting short text blog from the phone. It was tough, but managable.
But the whole point of cell phone blogging is the pictures. Take a picture and then turn around and shoot it up on the web – no computer needed. Well I had no idea how to get this done. I’d messed around for a few days before deciding to let it be for a while. Maybe after a few weeks off I could come back to it with a fresh perspective.
But thanks to Google, cell phone picture blogging has now arrived. Yup, good ‘ole Google has shown me the light.
I’m subscribed to the Official Google Blog, and today they were talking about some features of their latest Google Toolbar. I don’t even use the thing, but I figured I’d read up on it. And for some reason I went in depth. I learned how to make custom buttons. And somewhere in the documentation for customizing the toolbar was a string of encrypted code that opened my eyes. I had seen it before, had wondered what to do with it, and here Google was, giving me my next lead.
So thanks, Google, for waking me up to base64_decode()
