I’ve come to the conclusion that I fall for the wrong girls. These aren’t “bad” girls or girls that are no good for me. They’re just girl with whom things will not work.

Most of the time they simply have boyfriends, or perhaps they’re just getting over boyfriends (or fiances). These are the “unavailable” ones.

Then there are those going on missions soon and those soon to be leaving for school (greener pastures). Sometimes they’re just downright not interested in me. While these are technically “available”, they have no desire to persue anything and are therefore deemed “emotionally unavailable”.

That opens the door to many more types. Sometimes it’s the girl that has trouble showing her emotions and feelings for various reasons and ends up detached from the relationship. Other times it’s the girl with whom things seem to be going wonderfully … only to be left later to wonder if it was even real to begin with.

I took Jessica out to see Walk the Line on Tuesday. I think it was just the sort of thing I needed right now.

It’s nice to go out with someone that will come back and put her hand in yours – not wait for you to do it every time. It’s nice to be with someone who is visibly happy to be in your company.
